Who’s your Daddy ?

Many people have fathers who were absent during most of their childhood and upon reaching the age of 18 their fathers basically said "well, he’s 18, I’m off the hook now" or "I don’t have to pay child support anymore". I can speak from experience on this subject because I lived it. My parents divorced when I was young and my father lived in a State halfway across the Country. Needless to say I saw very little of my father while I was growing up. Looking back on that I believe that may have been a blessing in disguise as a hardship. Not having a father in my life has hurt me in many ways, everyone likes to hear a "good job" or "I’m proud of you" or even maybe an "I love you" from your father and unfortunately many of us didn’t or don’t. Looking back, these things have had an effect on me, fortunately I have used my childhood as an example of how NOT to raise your children and how NOT to be a husband. I learned that for years I was doing things in hopes of ONE DAY getting NOTICED by my father and obtaining some sort of approval from him. I’m in my 40’s now and FINALLY GOT the approval, acceptance, guidance, direction, discipline and Love that I had been searching for my entire life. I didn’t get all of that from my father, I got all of that from OUR FATHER in Heaven. Your father’s actions or absence has affected how you feel about yourself. I bet if your father was the King of England, or King of America you would have a much better opinion of yourself and would carry yourself differently. Problems wouldn’t seem so big would they? Well, OUR FATHER in Heaven is THE KING OF KINGS and THE LORD OF LORDS. It just doesn’t get any better than that! So listen to this. Our Father, who is The King of ALL Kings and Lord of ALL Lords loves YOU! He loves you so much that he sent his only Son to die in your place and purchase your redemption with HIS Blood! He Rose again so that we could LIVE! He said He will NEVER leave you or forsake you! Never is a pretty long time! He said He WILL provide all of your needs! He said to bring your anxiety to Him and CAST it upon Him! He said you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus! The list goes on and on about how powerful the NAME of Jesus is. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the World. His love for each and everyone one of us is just beyond our comprehension. Think about a person you love so much that you would do ABSOLUTELY anything for. How much do you care for and love that person? Do you love that person so much and care so much about every little tiny part of that person that you would actually count the hairs on that person’s head? God Loves YOU that much! He has even numbered the hairs on your head! So, the next time you hear someone say, "Who’s your Daddy?" remember, Your Daddy’s THE KING!

Father, In Jesus’ Holy Name I ask you to forgive me of all of my sins, I ask you to give me Your Wisdom and Your Knowledge and Your Guidance for my life so that I may be obedient to your word. I ask you to fill me with Your Holy Spirit and make Your Will, My Will. I thank you for rescuing me Father and give Praise to your Holy Name. In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen.
